Thinking Vocabulary

The Thinking bot will be incorporating vocabulary below in order to inspire Exquisite Learning users:

 

Analyze: to examine carefully and in detail so as to identify causes, key factors, possible results, etc.

Classify: to organize in groups

Compare and contrast: to find similarities and differences

Comprehend: understand

Generate: to produce, bring into existence, create

Elaborate: to add details or information; expand

Explain: to make clear; to make known in more detail

Evaluate: to determine the significance or quality of; assess

Focus: to concentrate

Give reasons: give justification

Group: to place together

Hypothesize: to form a guess or assumption that can be studied through investigation

Identify: to recognize or establish

Imagine: to assume, suppose, believe

Infer: to guess, speculate, imply, derive by reasoning

Inquire: to seek information by questioning

Observe: to see, watch, notice, regard with attention

Plan: to formulate a method of action; design; outline; sketch

Predict: to declare or tell in advance; to foretell the future

Recall: to bring back from memory; recollect; remember

Represent: to symbolize, to express in another form

Sort: to arrange into groups

Suppose: to assume for the sake of argument; to consider as a possibility or plan
